Hogs

Our hogs have been raised on dirt, grass and some concrete from day one. We aim to keep them as holistic as possible. Mack was donated to us as a runty piglet that we were told may never grow, but he did! Pepper, short for Peppermint, came to us from a Montana farm with her sister, Pattie, whom we lost late 2018 to a unfortunate injury. Mack and Pepper proved their love was justified when Pepper farrowed 10 strong-willed piglets on her own April 2019. Every piglet survived and moved forward in life accordingly.

Our piglets are raised for the freezer, however our grown hogs, Pepper and Mack were our breeding pair until we unexpectedly lost Mack the Fall of 2019 to reasons the vet wasn't even certain of. But his sweet personality will continue to thrive through the two gilts of his we've decided to keep, Chip and Maize, along side their mother, Pepper. Since the loss of Mack hit the ranch pretty hard, our future breeding will be done through AI (artificial insemination).

If you're interested in pork for the freezer, or even a possible 4-H piglet, please contact us when you're ready.

Peppers' pedigree consists of Hereford/Hamp

Macks' pedigree consists of Spot(Roids)/Hamp
